About Me
I truly enjoy being in the fire service as a volunteer fire fighter.It's about a lot of things like; helping others in need, willing to "volunteer" a portion of your time to the community, the thrill, the excitement, and challenges your are faced with.The training, the ability to work as a team, having the skills to react quickly in stressful and hazardous situations makes it all worthwhile.Simply knowing that people can count on you in times of distress is especially gratifying. One of my hobbies is playing guitar. I'm in the learning stage of it but it takes away a lot of the stress and pressure you encounter. I really enjoy listening to someone playing a musical instrument. I enjoy the outdoors, camping, fishing, ice skating, ice fishing. My time is also spent on surfing the Net, especially on firefighting web sites. Reading and learning from others. I'm somewhat of a history buff, WWI, documentaries, History Channel, the history on Gulags, watching old classic firefighter video clips. Meeting people, making new friends, exchanging experiences and ideas relating to firefighting. Telling jokes, teasing others, laughing, smiling.
