Maryland Fire Academies
Several Maryland fire departments have their own training academy which one can attend after being hired. However, the Maryland Fire Rescue Institute (MFRI) is the premier training and education system for education-based academies. MFRI also provides training courses such as confined space training, hazardous materials training, forcible entry training, and fall protection training among others.
